AI involvement is required
Films, shorts and videos must use AI in their creative content, such as generated imagery, animation, music, voice or AI-assisted storytelling. Ordinary footage without AI involvement is outside this catalog. Merely uploading a video here or adding an AI-related title does not qualify.
Tell viewers what AI did
Creators must describe the AI contribution accurately and name relevant tools when known. Do not claim fully generated content when substantial human-created elements were used, or present synthetic events as authentic footage. Human writing, acting, cinematography, editing and direction are welcome alongside AI. Administrator review must confirm AI involvement before a creator upload is published.
Rights and consent still apply
AI tools do not grant permission to use another person's likeness, voice or protected work. Creators remain responsible for permissions, credits and lawful use. Deceptive impersonation, non-consensual intimate content and fraud are not permitted.
Protected by default
Eligible AI-involved work may include lawful advocacy, criticism, controversial art, satire, reporting and unpopular opinion. Content eligibility does not depend on viewpoint.
Requires action
Illegal exploitation, credible targeted threats, non-consensual intimate material, dangerous doxxing, malware, scams, spam manipulation, and valid rights or court processes.
Automatic discovery and screening
Our server regularly checks supported public creator feeds and searches for new AI creative works. Eligible results need source identity, recent publication, an explicit AI-production statement and a usable original-provider embed. A search result alone does not qualify. Provider restrictions can delay or prevent additions.
Automated metadata rules screen new and existing listings for exploitation, explicit extreme gore, violent extremist recruitment, targeted threats and dangerous instructions. Flagged listings are automatically withheld from public pages, and a rotating check refreshes provider titles. These checks examine available text, not every video frame or audio track, and cannot guarantee safety or legality. Use Report on a video for material the checks miss. Lawful reporting, fiction and political views remain protected.
The no-viewpoint-ban rule
BraveVid will not remove, suspend, deprioritize, or demonetize a video solely because eligible AI-involved content expresses a lawful political, religious, cultural, scientific, artistic, or personal position. Rules apply to observable conduct and evidence, not ideology or popularity.
Viewer choice comes first
A viewer may hide a video or later mute channels, keywords, topics, languages, or mature material. Those choices alter that viewer's experience. They do not silently erase the speaker for everyone else.
Narrow action for concrete harm
Illegal child exploitation, credible targeted threats, non-consensual sexual content, severe privacy exposure, malware, phishing, unlawful content, and valid court orders require prompt, specialist handling. Copyright uses notice, counter-notice, and appeal processes. Spam is judged by repetitive or deceptive behavior, not by how passionate or unpopular a message is.
Notice and appeal
Every platform action should state the rule, evidence category, scope, duration, geography, human or automated involvement, and how to appeal. High-impact appeals should go to a different reviewer. Reversed decisions should restore eligible content and be counted in public error metrics.
Controlled creator boundary
Creator access is approval-based and videos stay private until administrator review. Reports and appeals are recorded. Qualified counsel, specialist illegal-content handling and named operations owners remain required before creator access can scale.
